Josef Flek belongs already to the fourth generation of a glassmaking family. His replicas of historical glass retain a charm based on the glass manufacturing traditions at the Nový Bor region and on the skill of his predecessors shared from fathers to sons for more than one century. The manufacture of these glass replicas is no simple process. It demands both a perfect mastering of the glass technique with an ability to imitate the products and a modification of the contemporary technology to conditions of old glassworks.
